Hello there. Somehow you've stumbled upon the internet home of Shannon Palmer (that's me!) This is where I put all of my illustrations, design work, photography, blogs, podcasts, and favorite mp3s.

I'm a 34 year old artist-type who loves Smashing Pumpkins, Uh Huh Her, recording songs on my macbook, my sweet new fender mustang bass and 50s classic strat, running, chocolate, knitting, screenprinting, building, learning, reading, typography, Lost, tattoos, The Decemberists, The Shins, Band of Horses, Gliss, David Bowie, John Lennon...I could go on for days about all of the things and the people I love.

I'm a graphic designer for a local newspaper, illustrator for daytrotter.com, a loyal friend, a nerd, a tomboy, a stress-eater, a chatterbox, and pretty much an all-around silly girl.

Uh Huh Her: Common Reaction

My current favorite band is Uh Huh Her, an awesome electro-pop duo featuring Camila Grey and Leisha Hailey. Their new album Common Reaction, will be out on August 19 2008.

Redcar

Another band I'm digging lately is Redcar. They have a connection to Uh Huh Her, as lead singer Heather Reid was in the Murmurs with Leisha Hailey in the 90s. Redcar is so catchy, I can't shake it!

Ima Robot: Lovers In Captivity

I came across this video by Ima Robot and have watched it about a million times now. The song has invaded my brain and won't go away. Men in fishnets, yeah.
